Keeping the pool table clean is very important for many things.  One good reason is that it will help improve your pool playing experience.  In addition to that, it will keep your pool table in excellent condition for many years to come.  Cleaning the pool table is not hard and doesn’t take long at all to clean it thoroughly.

After each game, the pool table will likely get a good amount of chalk and powder on it.  If you don’t clean it, over time it will build up in the felt and can destroy it.  To keep the felt in good condition, after each game, brush down your pool table felt.  There’s a billiard table brush that you can purchase that is specifically designed for cleaning the the pool table felt.  The bristles on these brush will be longer than regular brush to help brush out the corners of the table.

Start by brushing the bumper railings of the pool table onto the table.  Once you go around the whole table, take the brush to the center of the table and brush everything outward toward the pockets, making sure you didn’t miss anything along the way.

After all the dirt is brushed off the table and into the pockets, take a hand vacuum cleaner and vacuum out each pocket.  Then take the vacuum and run it along the bottom edges of the table to pickup any dirt you might missed.

Next, use a furniture polish and wipe down the the outside surfaces of the table and then the legs.  This should make your pool table shine and free from dust.

As long as you keep your pool table clean, it will give you a good game of pool each time.  In addition, the pool table will give you many years of fun.
